In 2017, on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, three of the founders of Agrimba: Graham Dalton, Edward Majewski, and Wim Heijman, published an article in Acta Sci. Pol. Oeconomia describing the origins of Agrimba as a result of an EU sponsored Tempus Project. The article explores the net social benefits of this example of investment in human capital relying on the concepts laid down by the Nobel Prize winners Theodore Schulz and Gary Becker.
The project e-AgriMBA started in September 2022 and will establish an electronic Pan-European Learning System for sustainable agribusiness MBA education. It will broaden the course portfolios of existing MBA programs by creating online learning and teaching tools. It will extend the AgriMBA network by establishing a new MBA program at the Technical University of Moldova (TUM, https://utm.md/en/) based on the novel system. It addresses stakeholders’ specific needs which mirror the priorities of EU’s Digital Educational Action Plan.
